Peter Nelson

Peter Nelson has extensive work experience in cybersecurity services, with a particular focus on penetration testing, SIEM management, and implementing protective measures against security threats. Peter has worked as a Director of Cybersecurity Services at Stern Security since 2015 and previously held roles as a Cyber Security Engineer at WakeMed Health and Hospitals and Coastal Federal Credit Union. In addition to their cybersecurity experience, they also have experience as a System Administrator and as a Lead Teller/Vault Teller/On the job Trainer at SunTrust Bank.

Peter Nelson has a degree in Network Administration from Western Governors University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned an AS in Computer Networking Systems from ITT Technical Institute from 2009 to 2010 and another AS in Computer Information Systems from Tampa Technical Institute from 2000 to 2002. In addition, they have two certifications, a JavaScript Specialist certification from CIW, which they earned in November 2011, and a CompTIA Security+ CE certification, which they obtained in September 2011.
