Alin Elena

Alin Elena is a computational scientist and currently serves as the Group Leader in Data-driven Materials and Molecular Science at STFC Daresbury Laboratory. Previously, Alin worked at the Irish Centre for High End Computing from 2013 to 2015, where they designed algorithms for parallel computing in the field of computational physics. Alin holds a Bachelor of Science in Atomic/Molecular Physics from the University of Bucharest and two PhDs, one in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from Queen's University Belfast and another in Statistical Physics of Rare Events from University College Dublin.
