Ben Gilliland is an innovative science communicator and visual storyteller with over 25 years of experience bridging the gap between complex research and public understanding. Currently a Senior Science Writer at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), Ben develops engaging narratives that highlight the impact of UKRI-funded research. Previously, Ben served as the Editor of Astronomy Now magazine and created the award-winning MetroCosm feature at the Metro, where they made science accessible through infographics and compelling storytelling. Ben's consultancy work has involved collaborations with notable organizations like the British Antarctic Survey and the British Geological Survey. Additionally, Ben has authored acclaimed books, including "How to Build a Universe," recognized for its clarity and engaging visuals.
