Bethan Perkins is currently the DAFNI Group Lead and a Senior Research Software Engineer at STFC, roles they have held since 2022. Previously, they worked as a Science Communication Consultant at Assimila Ltd from 2012 to 2019 and served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Web Designer at the University of Reading between 2009 and 2010. Bethan's earlier experience includes positions as a Junior Researcher at the BBC and a Researcher at Pioneer Productions in 2011. They hold a Ph.D. from the University of Reading, specializing in the climatic impact of super-volcanic eruptions, and a Master’s Degree in Earth and Space Science from UCL.
