Holger Schmitz

Holger Schmitz is a Theoretical Plasma Physicist at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, specializing in laser-plasma interactions, fast electron transport, and computational physics. They earned a Dr rer nat in Theoretical Plasma Physics from Ruhr-Universität Bochum, where they also obtained a Diplom in Plasma Physics. Prior to their current position, Holger worked as a Research Associate at Imperial College London and Queen Mary, University of London, as well as a Research Assistant at Aston University, focusing on various aspects of computational and theoretical plasma physics.
