Martyn Winn

Martyn Winn is a Computational Scientist at STFC, where they lead a group of 28 staff scientists focused on methods development and software for biology. With a background in chemistry and theoretical physics, Martyn has contributed to software for macromolecular crystallography and electron cryo-microscopy, and is currently engaged in macromolecular modelling and high-performance computing. Previously, they held research fellowships at the University of Oxford and Technische Universitaet Wien, working on advanced computational techniques. Martyn's academic qualifications include a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a D.Phil. in Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Oxford.
