Matt N. is the Head of the ISIS Instrumentation Division at STFC, where they lead and manage three divisional groups comprising approximately 60 individuals. Previously, they served as the Technical Section Leader for the Neutron Detector Group and as Group Leader for the ISIS Electrical & Electronic User Support Group. With a background in electrical engineering, Matt completed a Bachelor of Engineering at the University of Portsmouth and a Master of Engineering at Oxford Brookes University. Their experience includes project management of engineering projects and the development of advanced neutron and muon detector technologies. Prior to joining STFC, Matt underwent an apprenticeship at Matra Marconi Space.
