Paul Giles

Paul Giles, PhD CertIOSH CChem MRSC, has extensive experience in the field of chemistry, beginning as a Senior Scientist at Cerebrus from July 1996 to June 1998, focusing on medicinal chemistry and later transitioning to synthetic chemistry at Vernalis from June 1998 to October 2002, where responsibilities included large-scale synthesis and outsourcing contract syntheses. Following positions at Evotec from February 2021 to October 2023 as both an EHS advisor and Senior Scientist, Paul was involved in supporting various collaborations and preparing high-purity compounds for research. Currently serving as a SHE advisor at STFC since October 2023, Paul continues to leverage a strong academic background with a PhD in Organic Chemistry and postdoctoral research in synthetic organic chemistry, all from prestigious institutions such as The University of Sheffield and Université catholique de Louvain.
