Roger Eccleston

Roger Eccleston is the Executive Director of Large Scale Facilities and Head of the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory at STFC, where they are responsible for developing multidisciplinary scientific facilities, including the ISIS Neutron and Muon Spallation Source. Previously, they held leadership positions at Nottingham Trent University and Sheffield Hallam University, serving as Dean and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, respectively. Roger also has extensive experience from their earlier roles at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, where they contributed significantly as Division Head and Instrument Scientist. They earned a BSc in Applied Science from Sheffield Hallam University and a PhD in Physics from the University of Warwick.
