Steve Wakefield

Steve Wakefield is the Operations Director and Deputy Director at STFC's ISIS Neutron and Muon Source, where they deliver neutron and muon scattering capabilities for a diverse range of users. With a background as Technical Manager and Instrument Operations Group Leader, they managed teams that operated multiple scattering instruments. Previously, Steve developed process control systems in the FMCG sector across the UK and USA. They hold a Master of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and are a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. Additionally, Steve has volunteered in various non-profit organizations focused on brain tumor care and research.
