Vincent Scott has extensive work experience in the cybersecurity field. Vincent is currently the CEO of Defense Cybersecurity Group, a position they have held since April 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) at Solutions Through Innovative Technologies, Inc. (dba STI Technologies, Inc.), starting in March 2020. In 2019, Vincent was the Executive Director of Sentir Research Laboratories, where they focused on bringing applied research solutions to government and industry.

Vincent also has experience in leading cybersecurity teams at various organizations. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at PwC as the Director of Cyber Security & Privacy. Before that, they were responsible for building and leading Procter & Gamble's first Intelligence and Incident Response team.

Vincent's career also includes roles in the US Navy, where they held positions such as Deputy Director of Intelligence Collection for U.S. European Command and Executive Officer/Deputy Commander of Naval Information Operations Command Georgia.

Throughout their career, Vincent has demonstrated expertise in areas such as cyber security, intelligence collection and analysis, and information operations.

Vincent Scott's education history begins in 1985 when they attended the United States Naval Academy for their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science Software Engineering. Vincent graduated from this institution in 1989.

After their undergraduate studies, Vincent pursued further education and obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Vincent attended this university from 1997 to 2000.

In 2007, Vincent attended the USAF Air War College for Joint Professional Military Education Phase 1, and in 2008, they completed Joint Professional Military Education Phase 2 at the National Defense University.

In 2014, Vincent enrolled in the University of Fairfax and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance in 2016.

Apart from their formal education, Vincent has acquired several certifications. In 2014, they became an Information Systems Security Professional, certified by the CNSS (Committee on National Security Systems). Vincent also obtained the Senior Systems Manager certification by the same institution in the same year. In 2015, Vincent became a Certified Incident Handling Engineer.

Vincent's recent certifications include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2014 and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2021. Vincent is also a CMMC Provisional Instructor and a CMMC Provisional Assessor, certified by the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body (CMMC AB) in 2021. Furthermore, Vincent has obtained the CMMC Registered Professional certification from CMMC AB in 2020 and the CMMC Certified Professional certification from The Cyber AB in 2022.
