David de Groot is a Senior Associate lawyer at Stibbe, specializing in Dutch domestic and international taxation with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate reorganizations, and capital markets transactions. David is a member of the investment management group, concentrating on tax aspects of fund structuring for the private equity sector. They obtained a Master of Laws in International and European Tax Law with distinction from the University of Amsterdam in 2016 and were admitted to the Dutch Bar in January 2017. Prior to their current role, David worked at Stibbe from 2016 to 2021 and gained experience through internships at Baker McKenzie and Loyens & Loeff. Currently, they are also pursuing a course on Current Issues in Taxation at the University of Oxford.
