Jochem de Vries

Jochem de Vries is an experienced filmmaker, workshop leader, and educator with a career spanning from 2004 to the present. As a filmmaker and director, Jochem has focused on creating fiction films, as well as occasional documentaries and commercial projects through De Vries Films. Currently, Jochem serves as a workshopleider (film) at Stichting de Vrolijkheid since October 2021. Additionally, Jochem has contributed to various initiatives, including serving on the medezeggenschapsraad of Waldorf aan de Werf since 2017, where efforts focus on establishing an intercultural Waldorf school, and acting as the chair of Broodfonds Brood is Goed from 2017 to 2020. Jochem has also worked as an advisor for the Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst and taught film workshops at IMC Weekendschool. Jochem holds a Master’s degree in Screenplay from Andrzej Wajda Film School and a Bachelor of Design from HKU.
