Stichting Guus (or Guus Foundation in English) is a non-profit organization, targeting at kids with (much) slower development pace than average, we're talking physically and/or mentally challenged kids here.
We aim at providing them with therapies, which are not offered via medical insurance. Without organizations like ours, lots of kids would not be able to have certain therapies, which in fact are very helpfull for their development. 

It all started back in 2010. Guus, my son, at that time slowed a much slower pace of developping than other kids his age. We decided he needed dolphin aided therapy, costing including travel: € 14.000!
Not having that amount present, we started stichting guus in November 2010. We received a ANBI status from the Dutch tax office, which implies that we do not have to pay taxes on donations received. 
Long story short: we where able to raise the neccessary funds and Guus went to the therapy. With great results! He has great appetite now, in fact, he eats by himself, walks with support and can focus on almost anything (and thus learn!)
