Derek Downing

Derek Downing has extensive experience in financial operations and management, currently serving as a Managing Director at Stifel Financial Corp. since March 2019. Prior to this role, Derek held the position of Vice President of Operations at First Empire from June 2013 to March 2019 and worked in Fixed Income Operations at Deutsche Bank from March 2010 to May 2013. Earlier in Derek's career, significant engineering roles included Senior Design Engineer at Bohler Engineering and Project Engineer at Shaw Environmental, Inc. Derek holds a BA in Engineering from Lafayette College and an MBA in Finance from the University of North Florida.
