Jon Vardner is the Co-Founder at Still Bright and an Activate Fellow. They completed their doctoral studies at Columbia University, where they developed new techniques for characterizing vanadium flow batteries and investigated sustainable methods for copper production. During postdoctoral research, Vardner discovered new reaction chemistry that could enable the economical and domestic production of copper. Previously, they interned at the University of Rhode Island and Duke University, contributing to studies on ocean tracers and water purification processes, respectively. Vardner holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
