Still Oak Counseling is a Chicago-based therapy practice specializing in supporting high-functioning adults who look successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck on the inside.

We work with people who are reliable, capable, and often carrying far more than they let on. Professionals who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, overthinking, people-pleasing, and the lingering impact of childhood or relational trauma. Many of our clients are in their 30s and 40s and come to therapy because they’re tired of holding everything together alone.

Our approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS). Therapy at Still Oak focuses on helping clients quiet the inner critic, build trust in themselves, develop emotional resilience, and create lives that feel more sustainable, not just productive.
