Mark Dijkstra

Mark Dijkstra is a skilled data scientist at Stitch Fix since September 2017, leveraging expertise gained from a robust academic and research background. Prior to this role, Mark served as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics, University of Oslo, where significant contributions to the understanding of complex astrophysical phenomena resulted in over 80 peer-reviewed publications with more than 4000 citations. Mark's research on the formation of the first stars, black holes, and galaxies was supported through positions at prestigious institutions, including a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics and an ITC Research Fellow at Harvard University. Mark earned a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Columbia University and holds a degree in theoretical physics from the University of Groningen.
