Stocktonia is a small but growing nonprofit, nonpartisan, local news site focused on covering the diverse city of Stockton.

Our mission is to produce comprehensive fact-based reporting to meet the local news and information needs of the 325,000 people who call our city on the San Joaquin River in California’s Central Valley home.

We are committed to filling the void in local coverage, and we’re focused on breaking news, increasing local government transparency, covering education and other issues, and providing balanced coverage.

We believe that Stockton deserves to have a strong, nonpartisan news source. Stockton matters – and we’re here to be that trusted news source.
