Greg Schwartz

Co-Founder & COO at StockX

Greg Schwartz is the co-founder and COO of StockX, an online marketplace for buying and selling limited edition sneakers, streetwear, watches, and other collectibles. Prior to StockX, Greg was the CEO and co-founder of UpTo, a modern calendar platform that transformed the way individuals and organizations view, share, and interact with the future.

Greg has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry, starting their career as a software engineer at Mobatech, a mobile software development company. In 2007, Greg left Mobatech to start their own company, UpTo.

UpTo's mobile calendar app offered a multi-layered interface that added an entirely new dimension to navigating one’s upcoming schedule. UpTo gave users a top-level view of their existing calendar and expanded to reveal upcoming events based on a user’s location, likes and interests - including sports schedules, TV shows, local concerts, friends events and more. UpTo was featured by Apple as one of their 'Best New Apps' and 'Great Free Apps'.

In addition to the consumer app, UpTo also had a calendar publishing platform that enabled groups and organizations to create and manage their own calendar content for others to follow. Organizations could embed their UpTo-powered calendar onto their website to position their events for maximum engagement in front of fans and constituents.

UpTo was featured on CNN, NBC Nightly News, CNBC, TechCrunch, Mashable and more. In 2015, Greg sold UpTo to AOL and they joined the AOL team to help grow the product.

In 2016, Greg left AOL and teamed up with Josh Luber and Dan Gilbert to launch StockX. StockX is the world’s first online marketplace for buying and selling limited edition sneakers, streetwear, watches, and other collectibles. StockX is backed by notable investors including GV (formerly Google Ventures), Andreessen Horowitz, Battery Ventures, SV Angel, Casa Verde Capital, Tim Draper, Mark Cuban, and Ashton Kutcher.

StockX has been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek, Fast Company, Forbes, Fortune, CNBC, Crain’s Detroit Business, TechCrunch and more.

Greg Schwartz attended the University of Michigan, where they earned a B.S.E. in computer engineering.
