David Monk

David Monk has over three decades of work experience in manufacturing engineering, operations management, and executive positions. Their current role is Vice President of Engineering and Operations at SMTI - Stone Mountain Technologies, Inc, starting in January 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Columbus McKinnon from August 2017 to January 2022. David was also the Manager of the Atkins Facility at MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) from October 2016 to August 2017. Before that, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer at True Line Construction from July 2015 to October 2016. From July 2012 to July 2015, they held the position of Operations Manager at Samuel Pressure Vessel Group. Earlier in their career, David Monk served in various leadership roles at Bristol Compressors, including Director of Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Research from 2007 to 2012, and Director of Product Engineering from 1991 to 2007.

David Monk obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Acoustics and Thermal Sciences from Virginia Tech from 1989 to 1991. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at King University from 2004 to 2006, specializing in Economics and HR Management.
