Brian Rooder is currently the Chief Compliance Officer and Counsel at Stone Point Credit. They previously served as Managing Director and Senior Compliance Counsel at Angelo Gordon from 2018 to 2024 and as Chief Compliance Officer and Associate General Counsel at Pretium Partners, LLC from 2017 to 2018. Prior to these roles, Brian worked as an Associate at Ropes & Gray LLP from 2013 to 2017 and at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP from 2007 to 2013. Brian began their legal career as a Judicial Clerk for Hon. Henry B. Pitman at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York from 2006 to 2007, and they earned their J.D., magna cum laude, from Fordham Law School in 2006.
