Larry Kass

Larry Kass is an experienced professional in the fields of environmental science and education, currently serving as the Organics and Edible Food Recovery Specialist at StopWaste since October 2025. Prior to this role, Larry worked as a Materials Management Specialist at Environmental Science Associates for twenty years and gained teaching experience at Berkeley Unified School District. Additional roles include Commercial Compost & Recycling Specialist at Applied Compost Consulting and Volunteer Coordinator / Environmental Educator at Aldea Infantil SOS, where Larry developed a K-8 gardening and composting program. Early career experience includes serving as a Goat Herd at Es Moli de Dalt Farm and an Interpreter for a sustainable development course. Larry holds a Bachelor of Science in Plant Sciences from Cornell University and a Professional Clear CLAD Teaching Credential from Mills College.
