Gavin Shields

Gavin Shields has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Gavin'smost recent role was as Chief Executive Officer at Stora, where they led the automation of the self-storage business. Prior to that, they served as the Managing Director of StoreStuff, contributing to its growth and operations. In 2014, Gavin co-founded Yomo, a savings and investment app aimed at helping individuals in the UK start their wealth creation journey. Gavin served as the CEO until early 2021. Before Yomo, Gavin worked as the Interim CMO at Orca Money and as the CEO and co-founder of PiggyPot. During their time as CEO at Turbulenz, Gavin oversaw significant growth and secured funding for the company. Gavin also worked as a Private Equity Investor at Summit Partners and as a Finance Analyst at Procter & Gamble. Additionally, they founded Night Soc, serving as its CEO. Overall, Gavin Shields has a strong background in executive leadership, entrepreneurship, finance, and investment.

Gavin Shields has a diverse education history. In 1991, they attended Banbridge Academy, where they pursued A levels in Maths, Economics, and Politics, achieving excellent grades in all subjects. Following this, from 1998 to 2002, Gavin studied at the University of Edinburgh Business School, where they earned an MA (Honours) degree in Economics & Accounting. In 2018, they enrolled at the William J Clinton Leadership Institute at Queens, where they completed a Mini MBA in Business Administration. Additionally, in September 2020, Gavin obtained certification in "Reid Hoffman and Chris Yeh on Blitzscaling" through LinkedIn.
