Eduardo Chan has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Eduardo started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where they investigated structural modes of failure and developed an in-house finite element code. Eduardo then worked as a Research Assistant at the California Institute of Technology, where they focused on optimal design decision-making methodologies and performed system administration tasks.
Moving forward, Eduardo worked at PTC as a Senior Software Engineer, Group Leader, and Software Development Manager in their R&D division. Eduardo managed the analysis technology group, developed new enhancements, and completed performance improvement projects. After that, they joined Stellar Labs, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed various REST services, numerical algorithms, and pricing rule models.
Eduardo further expanded their expertise at Solar Junction Corporation as a Software Development Manager and Technical Consultant. Eduardo revamped their web-based wafer tracking system, implemented internal web software, and improved performance and code maintainability.
In 2016, Eduardo joined Striiv Inc. as a Director of Engineering and later as the VP of Engineering. Eduardo oversaw engineering teams, led the development of activity trackers and mobile applications, and managed their cloud architecture for machine learning pipelines.
Eduardo's next role was at Altierre Corporation as the VP of Software Engineering and Data Science. There, they utilized their skills in software engineering and data science to contribute to the company's success.
Most recently, Eduardo became a part of the Store Intelligence team as the SVP of Engineering. With their extensive experience in engineering and software development, they continue to contribute to the growth and success of the company.
Throughout their career, Eduardo has demonstrated their ability to lead teams, develop and implement innovative solutions, and teach advanced courses in their field.
Eduardo Chan obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1991. Eduardo then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution, completing it in 1993. Eduardo continued their educational journey at Caltech, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Civil Engineering in 1997.
