Barbara Rushing

Barbara Rushing has been serving as the Mayor of the Town of Register since January 2014, where responsibilities include presiding over council meetings, ensuring city departments operate effectively, and acting as the official spokesperson for the city. Prior to this role, Barbara was the Mayor Pro Tem, judging qualifications and overseeing council proceedings. Experience also includes working as a Professional Driver for Storm Services LLC since October 2015, as a Safety Compliance Auditor while self-employed from 2015 to 2016, and as an Account Executive at AtWork Personnel in 2014. Barbara's earlier career involved consulting with The Martin Associates Group and working in various roles at the Georgia Department of Labor from 1998 to 2012. Educational background includes a degree in Accounting from Ogeechee Technical College and a diploma in Business from Swainsboro Technical College.
