Barry Davis

Principal Software Engineer at StorMagic

Barry Davis has a strong background in software engineering, particularly in the development of iSCSI SAN appliances. Barry started their career at Zuken in 1998 as a Lead Software Engineer. In 2001, they joined Eurologic as a Senior Software Engineer and continued their work in this role until 2003. Barry then moved to Elipsan, where they held the position of Senior Software Engineer from 2003 to 2004. Barry remained with the company when it was acquired by Adaptec, and served as a Senior Software Engineer until 2006. In the same year, they became a founding team member and investor of Exsequi, a start-up that later became StorMagic. As a Principal Software Engineer at StorMagic, Barry played a key role in developing a Linux-based iSCSI SAN appliance on standard x86 hardware. Throughout their career, Barry has gained expertise in various virtualization platforms, such as VMware ESXi, Xen, KVM, and Hyper-V. Since 2016, Barry has been serving as the Director of Saxon Print Ltd.

Barry Davis attended Swansea University from 1996 to 1999 and completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science with first-class honors.
