Christopher Harman has had a varied work experience. In 2013, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Sussex, where they were a graduate tutor and graded undergraduate and masters coursework. In 2017, they worked as an IT Consultant at Automation Consultants, providing technical consulting on a wide range of areas within the software development lifecycle. Since 2018, they have been working at StoryStream as a Developer and Junior Back-end Developer. In their role as Developer, they have been exposed to cloud-based development tools such as AWS, Google, and MongoDB Atlas. Christopher has completed notable projects such as a catalogue integration pipeline for e-commerce customers and an AI skill-building system. As a Junior Back-end Developer, they have worked with Python and the Django framework to build web-based tools, as well as technologies such as Docker, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Git/Mercurial, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Christopher has completed projects such as an Image Data Cleaning Solution, various dev tools for an in-house AI team, development of new platform features, and bug fixes.
Christopher Harman has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Theoretical Particle Physics from the University of Sussex, which they obtained between 2013 and 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSci) in Physics from Royal Holloway, University of London between 2009 and 2013. Christopher also holds certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Coursera, Atlassian, and Duolingo.
