Brendan Smith

Brendan Smith serves as the Managing Director in the Portfolio Valuation & Complex Securities practice at Stout since July 2015, where responsibilities include advising clients on valuation matters related to financial instruments and alternative investments, with a focus on illiquid investments and valuation of investment manager interests. Prior to this role, Brendan was an Associate at Arctaris Michigan Partners, LLC from October 2013 to June 2015, engaging in all phases of investment and underwriting processes for lower middle-market businesses in Michigan. Brendan's career also includes experience as an Associate at Stout Risius Ross from August 2010 to October 2013. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Mathematics from Michigan State University, complemented by education at The London School of Economics and Political Science and Brother Rice High School.
