Dan Kerns

Dan Kerns currently serves as Corporate Counsel at Stout, a global investment bank and advisory firm, since August 2022. Kerns is a co-founder and co-lead of Stout Pride, an LGBTQ+ affinity group. Prior to Stout, Kerns worked as a Senior Associate Attorney at DeFur Voran, LLP from January 2013 to July 2022, where a wide range of contracts were drafted and negotiated for corporate and construction clients, alongside reviewing statutes and regulations to advise clients on their business operations. Kerns also gained legal experience as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Thomas Carroll at Marion County Superior Court in 2012. Earlier in the career, Kerns held various internship roles at Key Corporate Services and Imaste IPS, focusing on recruitment and market research. Educational achievements include a Juris Doctorate from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, and Spanish from Miami University.
