Michael Gears

Michael Gears, CPA/ABV, serves as Vice President of Valuation Advisory & Litigation Support at Stout since July 2023. Previously, Michael held the position of Manager in Forensic, Valuation & Litigation Support at Gross, Mendelsohn & Associates, P.A., from November 2022 to July 2023, and served as Director at J.S. Held LLC from September 2014 to November 2022, specializing in litigation support and forensic accounting consulting services, including economic damages evaluation and compliance audits. Michael's earlier experience includes a role as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Admissions at James Madison University, where responsibilities encompassed application reviews and international student recruitment. Michael obtained a Master of Science in Accounting with a concentration in taxation in 2014, following a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2013, both from James Madison University.
