David A. Markowitz

David A. Markowitz is a prominent scientist currently serving as Chief Scientist at STR since December 2022. Prior to this role, Markowitz was a Program Manager at IARPA from July 2014 to November 2022, contributing to high-risk, high-payoff research initiatives. Earlier in his career, Markowitz was a Science Advisor at New York University from 2009 to 2014, where work focused on Computational Neuroscience and Neural Engineering during a postdoctoral fellowship. Markowitz holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Neuroscience from Princeton University and a Bachelor's Degree in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
