Heather O'Donnell

Heather O'Donnell has significant experience in both the military and software development sectors. As the Maritime Domain Applications Deputy Group Lead and Lead Program Manager at STR since January 2023, O'Donnell oversees algorithm and software development projects that cater to Department of Defense clients. Prior to this role, O'Donnell served as a Naval Officer in the US Navy from December 1998 to October 2022, specializing as a Naval Flight Officer with a focus on Electronic Warfare, aviation operations, risk management, and program management. Key assignments included work with the Chief of Naval Operations Staff on Test and Evaluation, the Department of the Navy Unmanned Task Force, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's Counter IED Rapid Development initiatives. O'Donnell earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina and a degree from the United States Naval Academy.
