Lucas Sheldon is a Machine Learning Engineer at STR since July 2020, focusing on applying machine learning research to complex defense challenges in areas such as reinforcement learning, natural language processing, and prediction. Previously, Lucas worked as an Associate Researcher at New York Life Insurance Company during a summer internship in 2019, specializing in data science. Lucas holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, completed in 2020, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology, expected to conclude in January 2024.
