Thomas Sutherland

Thomas Sutherland is a seasoned lawyer with extensive experience in the construction and engineering sectors. Currently serving at STRABAG since February 2019, Thomas previously held the position of Associate at Carey for two years, focusing on infrastructure project development and claim management. Prior to that, Thomas worked at Barros & Errázuriz Abogados for eight years, actively participating in over 50 projects related to infrastructure and energy financing across Latin America, and gaining expertise in construction contracts and arbitration procedures. An earlier internship at STRABAG's International Legal department provided foundational experience in providing in-house counsel and engaging in international arbitration. Thomas holds a Master's Degree in Construction Law & Dispute Resolution from King's College London and a Juris Doctor from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
