Wayne Osmond

Wayne Osmond is currently a Mate/Master at Strait Shipping, having previously served as Master on Cook Strait Ferries and in various roles with Offshore Marine Services. With extensive experience in ship handling and pilotage, Wayne has worked on notable projects like the Gorgon LNG project and seismic support operations. They have been involved in the maritime industry since joining as a deck cadet in 1981, eventually obtaining a Master Foreign Going degree from NZ Maritime School Auckland, which they are still pursuing. Wayne's background includes time as a Deck Officer with Union Steamship Company and leadership roles on various ferries and tugs.
