Sameer Phalke

Sameer Phalke has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sameer is currently the Director Laboratory Sciences at Strand Life Sciences, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the General Manager (R&D) at Trivitron Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. from April 2021 to February 2022. Sameer also served as a Senior Scientist at MedGenome from April 2015 to March 2021. Before that, Sameer worked as a Scientist at Vela Diagnostics, where they were involved in research and development, specifically in the field of Oncology. Sameer played a significant role in assay development and led the development of qPCR and NGS based assays. Sameer also has international experience as a Research Fellow at IMCB, Singapore from February 2009 to May 2013. Sameer started their career as a Scientific Coworker at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and worked there from February 2003 to December 2008.

Sameer Phalke earned their Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and General studies from PMB Gujrati Science Collage in the years of 1996 to 1999. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Biotechnology at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda between 1999 and 2001. After completing their Master's, Sameer went on to obtain a PhD in Genetics and Epigenetics from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, which they accomplished from 2003 to 2008.
