STRANGE MATTER is a UK-based entertainment company founded by bestselling writers, producers, and worldbuilders Cavan Scott and George Mann. We specialise in genre storytelling across film, television, audio, and transmedia – building worlds that captivate, evolve, and endure.

We’ve helped shape some of the most iconic universes in pop culture, including STAR WARS, DOCTOR WHO, MINECRAFT, STAR TREK, PACIFIC RIM, ASSASSIN’S CREED, DRAGON AGE, DARK SOULS and TRANSFORMERS – and developed IP for Lucasfilm, Games Workshop, Critical Role, Netflix and more.

We’ve also created critically acclaimed original series such as NEWBURY & HOBBES, GHOSTS OF MANHATTAN, WYCHWOOD, THE WARD, DEAD SEAS, SHADOW SERVICE, and ENGINEWARD – many of which are in active screen development.

And with over 25 years’ experience as both licensors and licensees, we know how to build transmedia from the ground up. No bolt-ons. No afterthoughts. We embed brand extensions – comics, audio, games, and more – into the story from day one, creating cohesive worlds that grow naturally across formats and reach your audience wherever they are.
