STRANGER FRUIT UNIVERSE (SFU) is building the independent civic media infrastructure necessary to counter a deepening national divide. While right-wing media dominates through coordinated funding, creator pipelines, and platform control, progressive audiences remain fragmented and under-resourced.

At the heart of this challenge is a revolution in media consumption: young people no longer turn to legacy media for truth—they find it on YouTube, social media, and podcasts. SFU functions as an incubator and ecosystem for this new era. Evolved from the groundbreaking series The Grapevine (80M+ views, YouTube Originals, integrated into courses at Yale, Rice, and Temple), we produce content and programming rooted in cultural fluency, political clarity, and audience trust. SFU operates across digital platforms, live community events, and educational programs to convert attention into community, community into participation, and participation into measurable impact.
