Seth Downs

Seth Downs is a seasoned materials and process engineer with extensive experience in additive manufacturing and materials science. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Stratasys since July 2022, Seth focuses on developing new materials and processes to broaden the applications of 3D printing. Previously, Seth held positions as a Senior Engineer at Starkey Hearing and Starkey Labs, contributing to the manufacture of hearing devices through the implementation of novel materials and processes, along with conducting failure analysis for quality improvement. At Dreve America, Seth led R&D efforts to innovate resins and processes for medical device production. With a solid foundation in materials science from the University of Minnesota, Seth has also worked as a Materials Scientist at Phillips-Medisize and held various roles in other organizations, showcasing a diverse skill set in material characterization and consulting throughout the career.
