Dave began their career in the United States Navy Submarine Service, where they served as an Electronics Technician/Radio Operator and Assistant Manager. In this role, they designed Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, maintained a database of classified documents, and managed security investigations.

Dave then worked as a Work Study at Westmoreland County Community College, where they developed online courses, conducted research, and proofread textbooks.

Dave later joined Genesis Fundraising as a Clerical/Administrative employee, where they contributed to operational improvements, managed documents and reports, and created an inventory tracking spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel.

Most recently, Dave joined Strategic Technical Services LLC as a Software Engineer. In this role, they assisted with the design and development of IBM MQ message-oriented middleware, developed software in languages like Java, JavaScript, XML, and JSP, and created standalone Node applications.
