Aleck Dadson

Aleck Dadson is a Senior Advisor at Strategy with a background in regulatory compliance consulting. Aleck has over 15 years of experience working in the energy sector in both the private and public sector.

Dadson started their career in 2003 as the Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs for Direct Energy. In this role, they were responsible for the company’s interactions with all levels of government, as well as overseeing the company’s compliance with government regulations. Aleck left Direct Energy in 2006 to join Utility Warehouse PLC as the Head of Special Energy Regulation Projects. In this role, they led a team of specialists who worked on a variety of energy regulatory projects, including the development of retail energy supplier compliance certification requirements and the design of a framework for conducting regulatory compliance audits. Dadson left Utility Warehouse PLC in 2019 to join the Ontario Energy Board as a Regulatory Compliance Consultant.

In their current role as a Senior Advisor at Strategy, Dadson provides advice and guidance on policy development matters pertaining to the energy sector. Aleck also manages Executive, senior management and functional relationships required for endorsement of the compliance approach.

Aleck Dadson's educational career began with an accounting degree from the Association of Accounting Technicians. Aleck continued their education in accounting with a CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting.
