Bob Chant

Bob Chant is currently a Senior Advisor at Strategy. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Communication for Loblaw Companies Limited from September 2009 to January 2019. In this role, Bob was responsible for setting the direction and managing the corporate affairs function of Loblaw Companies Limited, which is Canada's largest retailer. This involved managing a team responsible for internal communications, public and media relations, corporate social responsibility, community investment and philanthropy, and government/stakeholder relations.

Bob's professional journey began at Labatt Breweries of Canada, where they served as the Director of Public Relations and Communication from September 1993 to September 2001. In this role, Bob was the official corporate spokesperson and was responsible for developing and executing earned communication strategies in support of corporate and brand objectives throughout the Americas. Bob also led the communications team launches of Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, and Bud Light brands. Prior to this, Bob served as the Marketing Manager and Carlsberg Family/Specialty/Import Business Manager from September 1993 to August 1995. In these roles, they were responsible for strategic planning and execution of marketing and sales activity for Labatt International Brands (Import Division including Guinness, Stella Artois, Boddingtons, and Busch brands) and Carlsberg family (Domestic Marketing). Bob also led the successful launch of Alexander Keith's brand in Ontario.
