Brandon Thomas has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Brandon is currently working as the Manager of Reservoir Engineering at Strathcona Resources Ltd. Prior to this, they held various roles at Serafina Energy Ltd., including Manager of Reservoir Engineering & Corporate Reserves, Manager of Reserves & Project Development, and Lead Business Development. In these roles, they managed teams, optimized production, revolutionized production forecasting, and confirmed the potential for carbon capture and storage. Before joining Serafina Energy Ltd., Brandon worked at Husky Energy as a Team Lead, Development Coordinator, Staff Reservoir Engineer, and Senior Reservoir Engineer. Brandon contributed to the implementation of thermal EOR projects, reservoir management, improved oil recovery initiatives, and conducted waterflood evaluations and large-scale optimization projects. Brandon also gained pre-graduation experience through summer and engineering internship positions at Husky Energy Inc. Overall, they have a strong background in reservoir engineering and project development within the oil and gas industry.

Brandon Thomas completed their Bachelor of Science in Oil and Gas Engineering at the University of Calgary from 1998 to 2004. Brandon then pursued further education and acquired a Master of Engineering in Oil and Gas Engineering from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, studying there from 2010 to 2012.
