David Welder

David Welder has a diverse work experience in the energy industry, specifically in power engineering and control room operations. David began their career as a Power Engineer at Tolko Industries in 1998, before joining United Steelworkers Local 1-423 as the Director of Health Safety in 2003. David then returned to Tolko Industries as a Power Engineer from 2008 to 2011. David further enhanced their skills as a Power Engineer at Imperial Oil from 2011 to 2012 and at Husky Energy from 2012 to 2021. Most recently, David has been working as a Control Room Operator and Relief Shift Engineer at Cenovus Energy from 2021 to 2022, and currently at Strathcona Resources Ltd. since 2022.

David Welder has studied Power Engineering at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
