Jason Dickson

Senior Reservoir Engineer at Strathcona Resources Ltd.

Jason Dickson has a strong background in reservoir engineering, with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Jason currently holds the position of Senior Reservoir Engineer at Strathcona Resources Ltd. since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Osum Oil Sands Corp. from June 2018 to June 2021, also in the role of Senior Reservoir Engineer.

Before joining Osum Oil Sands Corp., Jason spent a significant portion of their career at CNOOC International, where they started as a Staff Reservoir Engineer in February 2013 and was promoted to the role of Senior Reservoir Engineer. During their time at CNOOC, they were involved in various projects, including developing a workflow for SAGD caprock integrity evaluation and leading the first producer infill program in Long Lake, which resulted in the addition of 2,500 bopd.

Jason's earlier experience includes working at Husky Energy for over a decade, where they held positions such as Reservoir Engineer Coordinator and Senior Staff Reservoir Engineer. Jason was responsible for managing a team of reservoir engineers and leading projects to increase production at the Tucker Lake SAGD project and the Lower Grand Rapids SAGD pilot.
