Stephanie Schmidt

Stephanie Schmidt, P.Geol., is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Senior Geologist at Strathcona Resources Ltd. since October 2023, Schmidt previously held senior geologist positions at Connacher Oil and Gas Ltd. and MEG Energy Corp., where responsibilities included geosteering horizontal wells and managing significant assets. Prior roles involved consulting and project geology at Hazzard Oil and Gas, Nexen, OPTI Canada Inc., and geological studies at Petrel Robertson Consulting Ltd. Schmidt holds a Bachelor of Science in Honours Environmental Geology from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Applied Technology in Geographic Information Systems from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
