Stratus Systems delivers hands-on executive leadership for telecoms, IoT, and connectivity businesses - without the overhead of a permanent hire.

Founded by Simon Gadd, we provide experienced MD/CTO-level capability on a fractional or interim basis. The model is simple: you get senior leadership that has built and scaled technology businesses, available when you need it.

What we bring:

Simon was employee #2 at Nextgen Clearing, helping scale it from 3 to 200+ staff across multiple countries over nine years on the board. Most recently, as MD of Nextgen SIMplify, he turned around a failing IoT platform in six months — rebuilding the product, the team, and securing a new 3-year contract with a major UK operator.

How we work:
→ Fractional Leadership: 2-3 days per week. Ideal for scale-ups needing senior technology or commercial leadership without full-time cost.
→ Interim Management: Full-time engagement for turnarounds, transitions, or critical delivery periods. Full P&L capability.
→ Strategic Advisory: IT due diligence for PE/VC, technology strategy, AI readiness, and go-to-market for connectivity businesses.

Domain expertise: IoT/CMP platforms, BSS/OSS, wholesale roaming, 4G/5G/eSIM, API-first architecture, production AI systems.

SC Clearance eligible. UK/Swiss dual national. Based in Hertfordshire, available across UK and Europe.
