Philip Louie has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Philip is currently working as a Spine Surgeon at Virginia Mason Medical Center since August 2020. Prior to this, they co-founded StreaMD, a mobile health company, where they served as the COO and played a crucial role in optimizing patient engagement and outcomes through automated text messages and instructional videos. Philip also worked as an Orthopedic Surgery Spine Fellow at the Hospital for Special Surgery from July 2019 to August 2020. In addition, Philip served as an Orthopedic Surgery Resident at Rush University Medical Center from June 2014 to June 2019. Philip began their medical career as a Medical Student at the University of Washington School of Medicine from September 2010 to June 2014.
Philip Louie attended the University of Washington and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the College of Arts and Sciences. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies from the Michael G. Foster School of Business during the same period. Following this, they pursued higher education at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where they completed their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 2014.
