Jin Mu

Jin Mu has significant work experience in various engineering roles. Starting in 2005, they worked at Accenture as an Analyst Programmer/Lead, where they managed web-based data governance projects and developed ETL pipelines. From 2007 to 2008, Jin worked at Fisher Investments as a Software Engineer, integrating the CRM application with Genesys and developing reports for sales and marketing departments.

In 2009, Jin joined The David and Lucile Packard Foundation as a Senior System Analyst. There, they wrote stored procedures, developed key reports, managed grantees' legal information, and implemented online data submit applications and ETL processes.

From 2010 to 2014, Jin worked at YouSendIt, Inc as a Senior Programmer Analyst/Project Lead. They led a team in building a web application providing a comprehensive view of customer product usage, account, billing, and payment reports. Additionally, Jin developed two Data Warehouse systems and an ETL pipeline to ingest data from various sources.

In 2014, Jin became an Engineering Manager at RingCentral, where they initiated and developed an enterprise-level distributed analytics web application. This application provided real-time and historical call detail record reporting, scalability, high availability, and multi-device support.

From 2017 to 2018, Jin served as the Director of Data Engineering at Okta, Inc. They led the data engineering team, promoted data-driven decision making, and provided data services for business insights and customer success.

Jin then joined Elastic in 2018 as a Director of Engineering, leading Kibana backend and frontend teams. They defined technical vision, drove roadmaps, and facilitated the migration of Kibana plugins to a new platform.

In 2021, Jin became the Director of Engineering at Exabeam, partnering with product management to define roadmaps and strategies for building cloud-native data platforms and applications. They also led cross-functional teams in implementing a single sign-on solution across Exabeam's SaaS products.

Currently, Jin is the Vice President of Engineering at StreamNative, a SaaS company built upon Apache Pulsar. They lead the entire engineering organization, collaborate with various teams, and drive the development of cloud-native distributed data streaming/messaging platforms and services.
